Type Locality and Naming
Along the Kulanjalyalau Ridge, Shokhetau Clippens. M.V. Erina in 1977 (Usmanov et al., 1978).
Synonym: Kulandzhalyalau Suite, Куланджайляуская св.
Lithology and Thickness
In the lower part, clayey and siliceous limestones and limestones with interlayers and nodules of chert; in the upper part, massive limestones, less frequently bedded, and dolomites. Thickness 200-500 to 1000 m.

Lower contact
The lower boundary is unknown
Upper contact
With visible conformity it is overlain by the Tyulkin Fm (460).
Regional extent
Southwestern end of the North Nuratau Range in the Shokhetau Clippens.

In the lower part, brachiopods - Uralospirifer sp., Gypidula biplicata Schurr., G. arataeformis Nikif., Gymostrophia alfa Kulk., Eospirifer comata Barr. and others; in the upper part, brachiopods - Sieberella sieberi Buch., Cymostrophia stephani Barr., Sycozhychia amalthea Barr., Eospirifer subturjensis Nik., E. cf. togatus Barr.; corals - Favosites ex gr. sublatus Dubat., Striatopora sp., Cladopora sp., Trachypera sp., Aulopora sp., Pseudopetraia sp. ind.
